How much do IT training courses cost? I am considering a career change, and have a fairly decent knowledge of computers and there general maintenance. I have been looking at Advent training courses and such like, but was just wondering if anyone knew how much they cost before I add my details to their database? I am in the UK, and would not want to do the basic courses (stripping and rebuilding PC's, as I can already do this) Thanks!!!
Are there any on-the-job training courses for student nurses in the UK? I am helping a friend ask about possible student nursing courses in the UK (possibly even the US or Australia, she's not too fussy). She holds a nursing degree rom Taiwan but she wants to get a more internationally recognised degree (her current one is not recognised here). However, she cannot afford to go back to university. Are there any on-the-job training offered in the UK that ould lead to qualification for someone who has already qualified elsewhere? And is a non-EU citizen eligible for it? Thanks.
What are the courses and training to be a counselor? I am looking into things I might be interested in and I've always been interested in Psychology and been pretty good at it. So, I was wondering what are the courses, training and qualifications you need to be a counselor. Also, if you are one do you love your job? Whats your favorite part, ect? I appreciate any feedback.
Recreating SOME obstacles of boot camp training courses? This is mostly leaning toward service men & women who have been through this type of training. It may also be toward contrators that have built these courses. I am merely wanting to create a few obstacles on a small piece of land. Please note I am not looking to recreate the whole course maybe just three obstacles the most. I would appreciate some pictures/plans to build these or descriptions.
Do applications for PGCE courses have to be made through the Graduate Teacher Training Registry? I am planning on applying for a post-graduate teacher training course for next year, however I am a little confused about the application process. Some universities websites have application forms for PGCE course, but others recommend applying through the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (http://www.gttr.ac.uk). Do applications have to be made through the GTTR, or can they also be made direct to the universities? Thanks, Si
Are there any good online Animal training courses? I want to eventually have a career as a dog trainer for the police, guide dogs, and rescue dogs. However, there aren't any requirements for that right now so are there any good courses, possibly that I could take online?
Has anyone taken any of the Rich Dad advanced training courses for Real Estate? I have taken the 2hr sales pitch presentation and the $495.00 3 day "Learn to Be Rich" course where they spend most of the class selling their advanced real estate courses ranging from foreclosures to wholesaling to tax liens & deeds, etc. There were some great gems of info laced in the sales pitch here and there. Do the advanced courses give you specific, useable information or is it a very expensive sales pitch? Also is the "Real Estate Success Software" as impressive as it seems?
Do you actually HAVE to take one of these expensive training courses to become a life coach? All the courses want you to follow their methodology, but I already have an idead about the methodology I would like to use. I agree about taking some sort of courses and I really appreciate the suggested reference books. But that is what has frustrated me...all the courses seem to be a...do this...then this...and that. I definitely would like more information on learning styles and thought processes. I have a degree in health education and some background in psycology as well. I just don't see the value of the formula methodology.
How many more training courses do I have to do to get a job or to qualify for Job Seeker's allowance? I am 57, due to retire at 60, have been a fully qualified dental nurse (had to give up due to health problems), re-trained as a secretary and earned my living for over 23 years doing that, drifted into elecronics and spent several years doing that before studying and working in employment law. I also worked in trading standards before being made redundant. At various times I've worked in an estate agency, local government, property management, and even stacked shelves in a supermarket, all temporary assignments. On 'signing on' for work (Job Seeker Allowance) I've been asked if I would be willing to re-train, and if not, why not. As what? plumber, brickie, IT, what for heaven's sake?

I went to Job Seekers 'cos ageism is alive and well and I can't get a job doing what I'm qualified to do. If I can't get a job when I have lots of experience, what chance after doing another training course with no experience in that field?

Online training programs/courses for students, especially IT courses/programs? I wanted to increase my knowledge in the IT world by doing free online training/programs/courses. However, I want a certificate at the end of the it to prove that i have finished it. It doesn't have to be free, as long as the training is legit and useful. An example I'm looking for is from Sun Microsystems. They have online student training courses and in the end, you get a certificate.
